Issa Rae x Airbnb

Short-Term Rental| Immersive Residential Experience

This wasn’t just a rental—it was a love letter.

The Issa Rae x Airbnb listing invited guests into the world of Insecure—but more importantly, into a version of South Los Angeles rarely spotlighted in mainstream media. Our design approach was clear: this space needed to feel personal, not promotional. Grounded, not glossy. A tribute, not a set.

Blending the character of Issa’s on-screen world with real-life LA culture, the space featured curated art by local Black creatives, textures and tones inspired by Leimert Park, and intimate vignettes that echoed Issa’s own roots. Every detail—from the vinyl wall featuring West Coast classics to the kitchen stocked with Gooseneck kettle and hot sauce—was layered with intention.

This was more than brand integration. It was experiential storytelling, powered by authenticity. A limited-time stay designed to reflect place, personhood, and the power of seeing yourself in the spaces you occupy.

Modern hospitality, reimagined through cultural clarity.
